Congratulations to Asha Selvadurai who joins us this summer as our Social Media Coordinator.

Asha is in her first year of the Bachelor of Accounting and Financial Management degree program at the University of Waterloo. At Waterloo, she is an executive with the Accounting and Finance Student Association and a member of DECA U. Asha is also entrepreneurial and is the Co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer of a student app aimed at building better community on campus. In her spare time, she enjoys bouldering, soccer, fitness, travelling, and binging on The Office and Prison Break.

Congratulations to Abinaya Srimuralitharan who joins us this summer as our Executive Assistant to the Founding Chair.

Abinaya is entering her second year of the B.A. (Hons.) Specialist Co-op Program in International Development Studies at the University of Toronto at Scarborough. Abinaya previously worked as a Legal Assistant at the Denise Bradley Law Office. She was also a student researcher with the Global Ideas Institute at the Munk School of Global Affairs where she helped develop a pilot project on food insecurity in Tamil Nadu, India during which time she had the opportunity to interview eminent agricultural scientist, Prof. M.S. Swaminathan. Abinaya is active in the community and is a former President of the Malvern United Cultures Council. She is fluently trilingual in English, French, and Tamil.

Congratulations to Suvabna Theivendrampillai who joins us this summer as our Fundraising Assistant.

Suvabna is completing her Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Global Health and Biochemistry at the University of Toronto at St. George. During the school term, she works as an Outreach Coordinator with Hemoglobal, a registered Canadian non-profit organization that works to optimize care for patients with blood diseases in Sri Lanka and India. Suvabna is also active on campus as the Co-President of the Hemoglobal chapter and as the Vice President – Internal of the Tamil Students Association.
