Dear supporters, partners, and friends:

On April 14, 2015, we marked the first year anniversary of the launch of our network.

We are an independent network of students and professionals interested in facilitating meaningful connections between our peers in Canada and community-based sustainable development efforts in Sri Lanka. We are primarily focused on empowering communities impacted by the many years of civil war in Sri Lanka.

Since our launch last year, we have raised $2,300 in sponsorship for 13 direct beneficiaries through our Give Money program, thanks to the generosity of our sponsors. In addition to direct sponsorship, additional beneficiaries have also been supported by third party sponsors secured by local partners thereby helping us achieve an overall program fulfillment rate of nearly 90%. We have been able to do this and more with 0% administrative costs!

In 2015-16, we will be focusing our efforts in implementing our Give Time program as well to continue expanding on our interest in becoming an open and collaborative platform that can be leveraged by diaspora organizations interested in coordinating and consolidating their sustainable development and philanthropy efforts in Sri Lanka. More news on this will be forthcoming.

On behalf of our local partners, beneficiaries, and volunteers, we would like to thank you for your much valued support in our first year of operations. We will keep you more regularly updated on our work, and count on your continued interest in and support.

Thank you again for a great year!

Sincerely,

Kumaran Nadesan
